Happy December! It may be the last month of 2022, but that doesn’t mean the new music will stop anytime soon. New releases this week include albums from RM, Metro Boomin, and more, and Billboard wants to know which release you’ll be on repeat as the holiday season begins.
BTS leader Indigo’s long-awaited full-length solo album features guests from a wide range of global stars, including Erykah Badu (who opened the album “Yun”), Anderson .Paak (“Still Life”), Tablo de Epik High ( “Still Life”). All Day”), South Korean singer-songwriter Kim Sawol (“Forg_tful”), and more.
In Heroes & Villains, Metro Boomin includes everyone from John Legend (“On Time”) and Travis Scott (“Raindrops [Insane]”) to Don Toliver (“Around Me”), Young Thug (“Metro Spider”) and The Weeknd. and 21 Savage (“Creepin'”). In addition, the album cut “Feel the Fiyaaaah” featuring A$AP Rocky has an assist from the latest Takeoff, recorded before the tragic murder of the Migos rapper in November.
As for new singles, Lewis Capaldi gives another preview of his upcoming sophomore album Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent on the romantic ballad “Pointless,” and Latto plays GloRilla and Gangsta Boo on the club-ready “FTCU.”
Morgan Wallen also presents the first sample from his follow-up to 2021’s massive Dangerous: The Double Album with a three-track sampler One Thing at a Time featuring the title track, “Days That End in Why” and “Tennessee Fan,” doubling down on his rustic country sound as he tries to regain his footing after his racial slur controversy early last year.
And it wouldn’t be the best time of year without some new holiday fare: this week in the form of a live recording of Kelly Clarkson and Ariana Grande’s 2021 all-star duet “Santa, Can’t You Hear Me.”
